I decided to create Farm Girl as a reflection of my life growing up. I spent my formative years in rural Ontario, with parents who emigrated from Italy – the nation of utterly delicious foods, a family-first way of life, and a culture like nowhere else I have visited. Like many cultures, southern Italian food is shaped by its connection to the land and the wholesomeness it produces.
